i didn't know i've been living in the area where Singapore's 'first public housing estates' were built.

and now it's turning into a tourism area. with 4 hotels and counting within walking distance, and at least 4 new condominiums built over the past 2 years, it's slowly losing its edge.

4) Another 3-storey hotel at the corner of tiongbahruroad and sengpohroad. (it has a pool overlooking the road too)

5) Hotel 81 (although it still hasn't received its operating license and caused a controversy)
