i slept the day away. woke at 10 plus, slept again at 2, woke at 6 plus in the evening. what a pig.

the past week has been eventful. training in the first half, slacking in the second half.
sunday night i was busy counting, resulting in an hour's sleep for monday morning's killer training. i would say that i had a near-death experience, when my hyperventilating didn't stop after a period of time like it usually does. this time, probably due to the lack of sleep and fatigue, my body wasn't receiving enough blood around the limbs, something like anemia, that's what it felt like. pins and needles at my fingertips and feet constantly for half an hour i assumed, and each movement feeling like the muscles are about to cramp up anytime, is not an experience i would like to try again. if george is right, about 50% being in the mind, then i would probably attribute my current hyperventilations to fear. fear of my knees buckling to the point of no return, fear of dying from hyperventilating, fear of fainting, fear of never being able to catch up in fitness, fear of not being able to lead the team, fear of not winning anything next year.

the plan for monday after training was to have lunch in school with everyone, wait for the delivery of hockey balls, go home and regain lost sleep, pack for the next day's camp and chalet, then bring the necessities over to central green before sleeping again. plans were changed from lunch, when everyone went chinatown to eat, i ate lunch in school, derek stayed with me to wait for ball delivery, and as usual it was late.  went home to slack, but surprisingly didn't fall right asleep. a message came, which changed well, the rest of monday. did minimal packing, and minimal sleep. maybe it was just emotions resurfacing, i felt more alive. i was just on time, despite the hassle that went on before i left the house. body of lies is supposedly good according to the ratings, but i had a little trouble concentrating on the movie thus i can't comment too much on it. dinner, a stroll, a walk home.we parted, with some things are just left unsaid. as the lift reached my floor, my dad was just standing outside the lift. talk about great timing and coincidence.

tuesday morning was the ever rare NJ pitch trainings, followed by a scheduled day camp. a 20 minute run requested by the coach the day before started at 8am, to which the senior's annoyance, 'a waste of pitch time to be used running AROUND the pitch'. despite that, the rest of training was just drills. continuously. my mouth was parched. little primary school kids raiding the pitch annoyed me. the walk to adam road food centre was lethargicly slow. lunch was critisized by ever-healthy ex-captain which led us to be a little more aware of our future eating habits. the walk back to school was overrun by taking the bus. and from then on, 'what schedule??' camp consisted of bridge and asshole daidee. maybe a little charades, barefoot soccer from me, and short corner practiced by the guys. gateclimbing was once again practiced, and the three-persons sleepover in a three-bedroom empty apartment started.

wednesday morning. testimonial match. what meant to be a fun, relaxing match against the seniors was turned into a sunburnt nightmare.the arrival of george five minutes before the games started led to about 14 times 100 yard sprints up and down the pitch. need i say my body still rejects these runs in the form of hyperventilating and ankle soreness? the games started half an hour behind schedule, guys, then girls. with the current pathetic numbers, we played a five-a-side half pitch game with the help of opy joining our side. 20 minutes of running up and down plus the previous runs resulted in 10 exhausted girls. the guys played their second half(which meant to be a mixed senior girls and guys vs junior girls and guys) when our pitch booking time was up. i wanted the experience of playing a fullpitch match again, and subbed senior justin somewhere between a quarter to half of the game. it was junior guys plus george vs senior guys plus senior-senior-senior guys. and so the junior girls became the subs for the senior team, with the whole left side and centre half eventually being girls. by 11 am we stopped, with the Sun having no mercy on the players running around on the green continuously under the whim of a coach. there is no point in announcing results for such a game right? it took close to more than an hour to recover, bathe before getting out of CCAB to adjourn for lunch at tiong bahru plaza. people we met and played with a few hours before started showing up at the door  for the 'chalet' at central green, with eventually majority of the people falling asleep on beds, floors and couches. chalet activities ensued, mostly mahjong, cards, taboo and domination of the laptop by the alumni trio - playing marvel vs capcom streetfighters. dinner arrived, yum. presents were presented, juniors left on their exploration trip, with me too lazy to step out hung around the house with seniors slowly turning red. escape to the poolside and garden was a temporary relief. juniors back from exploration trip, seniors were beet-red. alumni trio left, with some senior guys taking over the streetfighting. i joined the seniors only when my niche game was played. which ex-gymnast wouldn't covert a game of twister? team girls vs team guys led to me vs felix. that was a draw game, and although everyone commented on or game being the most complicated, i can't comment much on it since i was pretty comfortable stretching my muscle aches on the floor and i can't exactly look at myself as a third party's view. the end of twister meant knock out for the juniors into the rooms, and seniors watching gossip girl season 2 which i happened to have transferred onto my brother's laptop. i myself knockedout at i'm guessing 3 hours into thursday.

woke early enough at 8am, had a triple breakfast of peanut butter sandwich, nuggets and cornflakes in milk. my long lost skill at mahjong was revived, followed by triple deck asshole daidee on the floor with everyone.its one of the few times i could call myself  rather than other people an asshole. lunch at kopitiam again, before a little more grocery shopping, and back to the apartment for a 3 hour afternoon nap? swimming plans were postphoned plus circumstances forbid me to, metal slug ensued, then dinner was cooked. post-dinner was watching derek and travis swim, then gossip talk by the jacuzzi. i took a short nap by the poolside as people went to wash up, then the nap continued as norman bathed and the rest played metal slug. some miscommunication meant the excursion to mr teh tarik started only on friday, close to 2am.

midnight snacking of prata, then went back to find liu sprawled asleep on the sofa after watching vampire knight episode 10. me and norman had a worms armageddon showdown till 5, before a very short, frequently interrupted sleep till 10am.breakfast was needed for the following house clean up, before my parents came to chase us out, to bring me or rather my mom to the picard bag sale. oh did i mention there was lots of alchohol left in the fridge and we did have a little taste of the frozen shot glasses before my parents arrived. back to bag sale. got a nice long wallet with a zebra horse printed on the cover. went home to get ready to turn into cuitian's supporter for SPstar. i made stace wait, but the concert was pretty draggy.contestants - some sang great, some went off-key. some only pleased me with the choice of songs. me and stace decided not to watch the second half after the refreshments which was just prize giving and a lucky draw, and so we went for our dinner date at city hall. Shokudo japanese pasta. a new favourite restaurant of mine now. great tasting pasta, with student meals available even on friday nights. cute waiter with really nice hair was a plus point, all only for 10 bucks including GST. somehow the food was great enough that my dream last night, surprise surprise, was that me, stace and cui went back to shokudo to eat pasta (:

typing makes me hungry. and if you've read every word till here, you're either a stalker of mine, or just plain free.

need i say i'm thinking of you each time i'm alone?

hockey chalet's over, details....can be found here tomorrow, or a summary from travis's blog.

i've got a horrible face now, with a right swollen eyelid and peeling sunburnt skin.

i got stabbed by travis, and tagged by val.

i just got back from a date with stacey just now, and dinner was stomach-explodingly full but great. i owe the fried chickens that came with my pasta two hundred and fifty sit-ups.

i need to sleep. tomorrow is blogging day.

a bad start to the day was rewarded with a good end.

good memories that i'll cherish. i just have to thank you for that no matter how brief it was. it was a rather silent roller coaster ride, but i can't wait to ride it again.thanks. for leaving me with sweet dreams.

raffles was nice. supposedly the brand itself should give the pressure, but the atmosphere was pretty relaxed, no vulgarities, no shouting, well, talking was done nicely. even the people were nice. i guess the smaller size of 20 tables as compared to 60 and over a hundred, is comfortable. plus, it was pretty slack as i was partnered with an experienced person, and she was really good at her job and taught me lots of good stuff (: of the three different hotels, they just seem to get better and better, at the same time, an increasing number of people assuming that i'm malay. haha. oh, and somehow today, for once in my life i actually enjoyed speaking chinese! to my partner that is, the currently school going poly student.

my aspiration to go in the service sector was doubted since i started the jobs. it really isn't what i had imagined, plus being a hotel manager, seems so much MUCH more than it is. even just f&b manager, or event coordinator. the job's like WOW, as compared to a mere waiter or waitress.exciting experiences everyday though!

time to sleep is what i need.

F-ing asshole. I just want to list out all the bloody mistakes and useless shit my partner was today. Hello, he's been working here a whole bloody week, while it was my first time there, and he screws up SO BAD, I GET DRAGGED IN AND GOTTA COVER HIS ASS FOR HIM. I CAN BLOODY CARRY A OVAL TRAY HEAVIER THAN HIS,  AND I HAD TO RUN BACK AND FORTH.I'M THE ONE DOING MOST OF THE CLEARING AND SERVING, HE'S JUST BLOODY SLOW SHIT.

It's 11.40 on the train, its CROWDED. Pissy. Even commuters are pissing me off, as i happen to be on the carriage without any seats, so people are sitting on the floor.

I need a foot massage really badly.
-21st november 2008, 11.40pm

...yada yada yada. just had to blow off some steam just now.

i was probably just really pissed and tired from training in the morning. the nice philipino person and the wu hong-similar-looking guy from ngee ann poly guy and the manager guy salvaged my day working there after the banquet. i so prefer folding napkins.

i hope raffles is better.

i survived. my first day and part-time job number 2. 5 hours later, my feet's killing me and got a little headache from gelled-up-hair-in-a-bun. but i thought the job's pretty interesting despite the stigma of it being the [quoting my trainer] ' worst job you could ever get into to make money'. it may be demanding, having really strict supervisors, and i seem to need memory space for this job too. need to improve my social/communication skills, and, my endurance for standing in court shoes for long hours.

and then there was the cute guy (: same name as nicolle's sec 1 crush, and he's nice, good at his job too! haha. he was serving two tables away from me. oh wells. hope i get to see him again (:

time for my bath, foot soak and then sleep, before killer training starts again.
